The volume of Chablis produced over the past two vintages has been greatly reduced, due to early frost damage in the vineyards. So worldwide demand for Chablis now exceeds supply and we have had our normal allocation reduced by 50% – so if you are a lover of Chablis you will know what to do next!
This 2022 vintage has a luminous, light golden colour with a white flower nose and touches of fresh hazelnuts and almonds. Expressive and lively with good length and that unmistakable special something that means it has to be Chablis — striking gunflint, licking cold steel, kissing stones or whatever goes for you.
Serve cold with anything fishy (scales or shell), your favourite white meats or indeed a great match for those difficult Asian spicy dishes.
This is a natural unfiltered wine and as such is likely to throw a sediment – just decant a few hours before drinking if this is an issue for you.
