Total production of less than 6,000 bottles, this wine is basically “a Rosé with attitude”. For those looking for something different within the jungle of tired Rosé wines, then Clairet is something that you have to try. Rarely found on the supermarket shelves, this is the light red wine the English began drinking over 900 years ago, which they nicknamed “claret”!
Deep blush and incredibly luminous, fragrant and floral. A massive strawberry and raspberry punch that lingers forever, this wine is well structured, elegant and very drinkable. The extra long 2-3 days maceration, ageing on fine lees and the windy micro-climate of Fontenille, make this a blockbuster example of “rosé wine” with real depth and character.
This gastronomic wine is a perfect match for all those difficult spicy foods and for wine-drinkers looking for a light red wine with very soft tannins. Also great as an aperitif served chilled on the terrace with cold buffets and grills.
