The new vintages from Chateau Fontenille arrived at our excise warehouse in early May – just as the April sunshine was replaced by chilly rain! However the lovely deep pink 2016 Fontenille Clairet will be splendid in the late May and June sunshine and the Fontenille 2016 Entre Deux Mers (Sauvignon, Semillon, Muscadelle) will go nicely with any fish lunches being planned for the patio!
All the new wines are now on our website so please browse and choose from the new additions or your old favourites. Of the older vintages we have also just imported more Chateau Lacombe Cadiot 2011 Bordeaux Superieur and the prestige Margaux 2011 Chateau Haut Breton Larigaudiere, both of which are drinking really nicely now.
For those who like a younger Claret just starting its drinking life, we do have a limited stock of 2014 Chateau Fontenille Bordeaux rouge (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) – a well balanced , fruity, easy drinking Claret for the next 2/3 years!
