Graves Blanc, Château de Respide Classic 2016

Graves Blanc, Château de Respide Classic 2016

Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon
Only about 10% of Bordeaux wines are white and the best of these come from the Graves/Pessac region. The classic blend of Sauvignon freshness with Semillon body results in a wine that shouts “I’m from Bordeaux , drink me now”! Indeed the white wines of Ch. de Respide were a favourite of regular visitor and family friend Henri Toulouse-Lautrec.

A bright pale yellow colour, this wine is fruity and fresh with notes of white flowers, apple and tangs of citrus. It is a wine that oozes class and drinkability and served nicely chilled makes a wonderful aperitif. Made to drink young it is a favourite amongst the Bordeaux bistro set and perfect with the 3 ‘s –seafood, sushi and salads.
A real bargain –  you really do need to pay only a few extra £s to get a real hand crafted wine of substance compared to those mass produced in a far away “factory”!
“You know it makes sense–step up now!”
